The owner of a Guni account can close the account by navigating to Profile > Profile Setting. On the Profile Setting page, scroll to the bottom and click Close account.
- Make sure you’re logged in to the account that you want to close. To check which account you are currently logged into, navigate to the top right corner and select the Icone with your First Name Letter on it.
- Check that you have paid out any existing balance before closing your Guni account.
- Once a Guni account is closed, it cannot be reopened.
- We recommend exporting the data(contacts & Optout) in the account to a Excel file before closing it.
Additional Information
- Please note that closing your Guni account does not release you from any liability related to your previous campaigns and messages. For this reason, we have to keep copy of your campaigns for 4 years to comply with local law. Once you close your Guni account, you will no longer be able to process any message, log any optout or short link request If you have any reason to believe that you may have further need optput or run campaigns, we recommend keeping your account open until those have been resolved.
- Closing one Guni account will not automatically close any other Guni accounts you own. If you want to close all of your Guni accounts, each account will need to be closed individually.
- If the Guni account was created through a third-party application, closing it via your Guni Dashboard will not close your account with the third-party. Similarly, deleting an account with a third-party application also does not delete the Guni account connected to it. The only way to close a Guni account is from the Guni Dashboard as outlined above.
- For Guni accounts connected to a platform account, please reach out to your platform and ask them to assist with the closure of your account
